The ongoing art pillar project initiated by the City of Cologne, Medienhaus Ströer and Academy of Media Arts, Cologne enabled me to show my photographic collages "Opa 1" and "Opa 2" on 25 former advertising pillars spread around the city of Cologne. For me this was a wonderful possibility to show my work outside of a gallery or museum and bring it to the street. I especially liked the round format of the pillar, which allows the passers by to look at the work from all angles and so form a real connection with the spaces and obstacles surrounding the works.
